God the Son clothed Himself in human flesh and came to earth on the greatest rescue mission of all time.  Jesus was the most amazing and unique person who has ever lived.  He was at the same time fully God and fully man.  He would lay down tired after an exhausting day of ministry and then awaken to calm a storm with a word.  He would shed tears of compassion at a funeral and then raise the dead.  He would amaze crowds with His teaching and confound His opponents with His wisdom.   He tenderly blessed children, gently healed with sick and frail, and graciously recieved those who were far from God.  In order to rescue us He took all of our sins upon Himself while He was on the cross and died, substituting Himself for us, paying the full penalty for those sins and opening a way for God to forgive us.   He then rose from the dead conquering death once and for all and paving the way to heaven for all who would believe.   He is simply amazing...and He loves you and me. And, we can follow Him everyday.
